It was a bit treacherous tonight! A few of us have been avoiding the route of running around in circles at Navy Pier to head south into the wind so it's too our back returning. 'Twas a wise choice BUT it was VERY tricky.
When you take the Niketown run route to the lakefront and head south and turnaround at Balbo, that's about 4.5 miles. That's what we did tonight. Kudos to DANIELA and John for keepin' me goin' with our average pace being 7:58/mile! I could only imagine what our actual speed would have been if there wasn't so much ice from the snow that fell late this afternoon! In all, it was a nice challenge (yeah...I know risky too). Knock on wood that none of us learn anything the hard way!
TGIF is always a blast with "sank you forr squeeesing". Don't know what the heck I'm tawkin' 'bout? Well, you better come out next time to find out!
I'm going to figure out the option that I have to send an email to an address from my phone that will automatically post images and commentary from the evening while I'm still out. That way, those of you that are out of town or simply couldn't make it can still be part of the action. We'll see how that turns out!
