A note from the wonderful Club RunCHI!
"We are asking runners to bring in their old running shoes to donate to Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe program. The program is one of Nike's longest-running environmental and community programs, where worn-out athletic shoes of any brand are collected, processed and recycled into material used in sports surfaces like basketball courts, tennis courts, athletic fields, running tracks and playgrounds for young people around the world. For each pair that runners donate, they will receive one raffle ticket. The raffle prize will be a brand spankin' new pair of Nike running kicks. Runners must be registered for the run to participate in the raffle. Any brand can be donated.
