Following the Chicago Marathon 2007, I knew I had to be signed up for a program in order to keep myself going throughout the brutal winter in Chicago.
I was fortunate enough to pace Chicago Endurance Sports' Winter Warriors and Spring Marathon Training programs. That kept me going. Additionally, as most of you know, I kept myself going via the Niketown Run Club--now Club RUN CHI-- with the "core" group from the Nike Northside Southside Challenge.
But, something hit me this past week.
I think it's burnout. I noticed that marathon training is about to start in about a month and I never took a break and I think it may have hit me. So, I've backed off this week even with Soldier Field coming up next weekend and I have a goal of completing those 10 miles in 90 mins.
What to do...what to do...
I am deciding now if I will go do my 8 miles for the weekend. I am tempted to call friends /coaches and have them talk me out of it!
