As I await my departure to head out to Foster Ave for this morning's long run, I thought it would be appropriate to go over my week's training experience.
It probably was the most productive, despite my feeling like barfing on two different running occasions--Monday, which I let you all know about here as well as Facebook, and Wednesday during the Fleet Feet Racing Team track workout (8x400 at under 1:40 each time).
I thought I was about to be OFFICIALLY inducted into the running community because I was about to have my first "in run barf." But, I guess that is going to have to wait because I managed to not let it happen.
That feeling of pushing myself actually felt good...after the fact of course...and my soreness from extensive strengthening on Tuesday combined with the track workout on Wednesday topped off the great feeling of accomplishment this week. My longer runs just keep getting easier! Now, all I have to do is make sure I keep nice with the foam roller. She's been missing me lately...and we all know that if you're away from her too long, you get Mr. Injury!
All in all--marathon training is going well. Pacing for Nike continues to be awesome; I'm lucky to meet so many new people throughout training; And, I'm excited about my fundraising for the American Liver Foundation as well (see details in the link below).
Stay tuned for another update...
