Maraton Training Continued!

After last week's detailed description of my workout last Tuesday, I concluded the week and started the next with the following workouts:
 
Wednesday:  5 mile tempo run at 8 minutes/mile.  This option was in lieu of my determination to not go ALL the way up to the track for the workout and I did it at the Nike Starbucks run in Little Italy.
 
Thursday:  I paced the 9 minute group for 5 miles out of Niketown.
 
Friday:  My usual off day...
 
Saturday:  14 miles in a very humid and hot morning!  It was almost reminiscent of the 2007 marathon.  We did really well as a group and our pack was STRONG!  Kudos to a great team that pushed it in the final 2 miles when I lagged back to treat a cramp.
 
Sunday:  Another day off.
 
Monday:  I biked up to Evanston for a board meeting of the Evanston Children's Choir.  It was a nice 12 mile run in less than an hour!  And, I concluded the evening with the pushup challenge:  10, 10, 8, 6, max (which was 22).
